How to download the Blue KC Care Management app

The app lets us deliver personalized care programs directly to your mobile device. And downloading it is simple — just follow these quick steps.

With the Blue KC Care Management app, you have access to programs that can help you reach your personal health goals. That might include managing a health condition, recovering after surgery, having a healthy pregnancy, or taking other steps to feel better. Plus, you can use the app to chat privately with registered nurses, social workers, and community health workers when you need more information or support.   

The Blue KC Care Management app is included in your plan at no extra cost.* And downloading it to your mobile phone or tablet is easy. Here’s a step-by-step guide.  

Step 1: Tap the “Download” button in your email from Blue KC 

If you’re using your smartphone or tablet, start here: 

  • Tap the “Download” button in the email you received from Blue KC. 
  • Tap the “Open” button to go to your app store. You will automatically go to the App Store if you have an iPhone or to the Google Play store if you have an Android. 
  • Download and open the app. It will take you to a screen that says, “Enter access code.” Your personal access code will fill in automatically. If you’re using an Apple device, tap “Allow paste” when prompted. (Don’t see your code there? No worries. The code is in your email in case you need to type it in.) 

Using a laptop or desktop computer? Start here: 

  • Click the “Download” button in the email you received from Blue KC. This will take you to the app download webpage.  
  • Click one of the “Download now” buttons or one of the App Store or Google Play buttons. You’ll get a pop-up message inviting you to scan a QR code with the camera on your mobile phone. 
  • Scan the QR code, then tap the “Open” button to go to your app store.  
  • Download and open the app. Your personal access code will fill in automatically. If you’re using an Apple device, tap “Allow paste” when prompted. (Remember: The code is in your email in case you need to type it in.) 

Step 2: Tap the “Submit” button 

You’ll see a screen that says “Great! We have a match.” 

Tap the “Continue” button. You’ll be prompted to choose whose health you’ll be managing. Tap “My own.”

The Blue KC Care Management app resource library makes it easy to get your health questions answered. Download it now and use access code kcwsqcare.

Step 3: Enter your Blue KC member ID 

You can find your member ID on the front of your Blue KC insurance card. Enter the last 9 characters of your member ID followed by the 2-digit suffix.  

Follow the prompts to finish your registration. 

Congratulations, you’re all set! 

You should hear from your Blue KC Care Management team shortly. The app allows us to deliver a care program that’s tailored to your needs, directly to your mobile device. 

It also connects you to your Blue KC Care Management team’s dashboard. That way, your Care Team members can track your progress and provide support.
